Midwest Power Try-Outs

Dates: Monday, August 17th / Tuesday, August 18th

Current Midwest Speed and Midwest Power players WILL NOT have to pay to tryout. There will be a $40.00 tryout fee for new players.

Some MIDWEST SPEED & MIDWEST POWER players MAY be offered spots prior to tryouts and WILL NOT have to try-out. While some MIDWEST SPEED & MIDWEST POWER players may be asked to go through the tryout process to properly evaluate where that player would be best suited.

ALL PLAYERS from outside the organization will have to tryout.

The MIDWEST POWER Program includes:

Welcome to the MIDWEST POWER Club Softball program with locations throughout the Twin Cities.
We cater to Multi Sport Athletes and busy families with training 7 days a week.

The POWER Full Season Program runs August through July at a cost of:
12u…….. $2900 (full season program)
14u-18u …. $3180 (full season program)

The program includes:

  • Defensive techniques & agility (1-2X wkly) 2-3 locations
  • Proper hitting/swing techniques (1-5X wkly) 2-3 locations
  • Arm strength & throwing technique (1-2X wkly) 2-3 locations
  • Base running skills (1-2X wkly ) 2-3 locations
  • General softball IQ (1x monthly in winter for 4 sessions )
  • 1 summer Jersey and 3 fall dryfits
  • 200+ hours of optional indoor training (fall & winter 4 Months )
  • 4 Softball IQ classroom sessions (winter months 1X Monthly )


  • 40+ hours of practice time (5+ hrs wkly)
  • 6-10 Leagues Games (Top Tier)
  • Local or centralized TRAINING locations : Maple Grove, Coon Rapids, Rosemount, Ramsey, Burnsville, St Paul, Vadnais Heights, Edina, Hudson


  • 20+ hours of outside practice time (3-4+ hrs wkly)
  • 9 tournaments for 12U & 11 Tournaments for 14-18U (2 out of town/state)
  • 3-4 fall tournaments (1 out of town)
  • 1-2 winter tournaments (options for more)
  • 5-6 summer tournaments (1 out of town )


  • Dome Ball Options to play at Maple grove, Rosemount & Blaine.
  • The POWER Program will offer pitching (15 weeks) & (10 weeks) catching lessons at centralized locations.
  • There will be an added cost, but it will be subsidized. (Cost..Catching $140-$200 & Pitching $225 )

  • Every POWER Player will receive a “Blast Motion Sensor” and will have access to the
    “Athlete Go Live” technology. Both tools will provide statistics that help with the college recruiting piece of the program.
  • Every POWER player will get a POWER Bat bag with personalized #No. and/or Name.
